I will be setting up a 55 gallon tank and want to add some Apisto's. I like agassizii but was wondering if its safe to mix them with another Apistogramma species with out the risk of them either hybridizing or killing one another?

I'm not to sure a 55 is large enough IME. I can barely house a trio of A. Bitaeniata [Rio Tigre] in a 75 with several inches of leaf litter.
