I have 4 macmasteris and 2 viejitas in the same tank. I bought them from different people, but they all look the same to me. I don't know if maybe they are all viejitas or all macmasteris. The female of the viejita pair spawned, and I don't know who is the "father". The one that stays nearer is one of the macmasteris...
The father and the mother wil take that tank over. Just look for the two most dominant. Now for the good news. Their are some (my colleague among them) who consider these two species as one, mcmasteri. It really isnt too big a deal that they have mixed together except that you have fish from two different locations together.
