Lonley female?

i recently purchased a pair of apistogramma cacatuoides. shipping was an issue and they arrived almost a week after their expected arrival date. the male died shortly after he was placed in my tank, the female struggled a bit but she rallied and pulled through.

after settling for a few days, the female has started to glass surf. she still eats and pokes around, but there is one panel of glass that she surfs fairly regularly. should i get her a male to attempt to pair again? i have no intention of breeding, but her glass surfing saddens me and makes me think she is lonely

some tank info:

20g long - 30L x 12W x 12D
ph 6.8
temp 77F
tank mates: 6 oto, 8 nano rainbows, 5 tetras (4 neon, 1 cardinal), 1 SAE

I am working on getting some wood and other botanicals in there. alternatively, i may set up a separate 10g with said wood and botanicals.

Any thoughts and feedback appreciated.

And looking at the size of that one in the picture I have a suspicion. Also the tank is fairly devoid of actual cover. I'm certain it's environmental stress.

And these fish do not get lonely, btw.

Thank you! Just out of curiosity and slightly off topic - are there apistos that do get lonely? Or am I just attaching my own human emotions to these fish

Hi I didn’t know if you still have any of the Apistogramma Cuipeua?
Would be interested if so.
