What are some large and colorful Apistogramma species other then A. Cacatuoides?
hi,
the largest i personally ever had were A. barlowi. A. kullanderi is large (but i think they might not be part of the Apistogramma genus anymore in the future).

Why are you specifically looking for large Apistos? I've seen stunningly large Ivanacara adoketa at my local fish store.

Hi!
Species like a. Steindachneri, atahualpa, megastoma and barlowi (-like Martin suggested) are considered large species. As far as i know.
About the looks.. -that’s up for you to decide.

A. macmasteri also can reach impressive sizes. Especially the infamously unhealthy domestic colour breeds.

Other than A. kullanderi, the largest species grown in aquaria are A. geisleri (A58) and A. wickleri, a domestic strain of A. steindachneri now lost.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
