info on apisto macmasteri blond

hi does anyone have any info on macmasteri blond as i won 6 from a recent british cichlid association auction and now a pair have spawned but just wanted some info on them as there quite different from the gold strain

They are a domestic strain with little color other the the overall yellowish cast. There is a wild yellow color morph of A. macmasteri, but it is quite different and, as far as I know, not in the hobby. Your macs will behave and breed like any other form of the species.

thanks mike i knew as much but they are very very hard to sex and females have gold elongated pelvic fins same as the males and the males dont have extended rays on there dorsal fin either so was hard to determine what was male and female to put in a tank together but one pair have wrigglers at the moment so still happy to have a spawn theres just very very little info on them on the net

They must be young, because the males should grow larger and have a distinctly more serrated dorsal fin. Is there any possibility that they are the gold morph of A. hongsloi?? Males and females look more like each other.

i didnt know there were a gold form of hongsloi ..... hmmmmm but nah there about 1 3/4 inches in size so what id class as adults .... ill get some pics of a video and put them up for you to have a look at later
