If you had my well water would you do anything to it?
My well water tests out at pH 7.4, 2 degrees KH, and 3 degrees GH. Seems odd to me that such soft water would have pH that high. I am attempting to keep and breed softwater species such as apistos.

Should I:
1. try to lower the pH by filtering through peat moss?
2. Leave as is?
3. Do something else?

Fish seem to do well in it and I have apisto trifaciata breed but have had problems with young which may or may not have anything to do with my water.

if the fish are breeding then i wouldnt do anything with the water
I think if you are hatching fish and losing them as fry then ph value is not the issue
water cleanliness/quality and ph stability is going to be much more important at that stage
along with an appropriate size feed for the fry

if they wont spawn then as ted has suggested peat would be all tat maybe needed to drop the ph and trigger a spawn
