I agree with Jeff & Rolo - A. sp. Schwarzkinn/Black-chin. Don't blame just Römer & Soares for the misidentification. When I originally saw photos way back when they first appeared in the hobby, I also thought that they were A. juruensis. After Koslowski explained the difference between Schwarzkinn and juruensis, I realized I had made a mistake and admitted many times. Sadly, some people hate to admit making mistakes. Has anyone looked at the "Indentification Key" in CA2? Look at B26 on page 110-112. "B26 b)" describes Schwarzkinn. The key points you to B41 on page 120. Looking at B41, the fish with the "distinct black lower lip pattern" (like Schwarzkinn) refers you to - B26 (again)! "Round and round and round we go; where do we stop? Hell if I know!
