And bought a couple "Pebas" F0 last year, identified by Mike. Since, I lost the male. Recently I bought another F0 male (they all come fron Peru) who looks like a lot the female. Can you tll me if it's a pair or not? If not can you identify?

Yes, it is A. sp. Pebas, probably the Morado/Purple color morph.

It is a pair, just picked up a pair myself. There were listed as Apistogramma Pebas Dolly. They settled in nicely but I find the male rather aggressive with the female.
Does anyone know if they are they harem breeders? There are a lot of nice females in the LFS in Ottawa, and I wouldn't mind spreading his aggressiveness around.

Any advise would be appreciated

Hi Woody, both my male and female are agressive but they don't hurt nobody in the thank. the others just have to get out! There behaviour makes me think of A. Baenschi: the bottom of the tank is their property! Even in a 54 gallons with big Scalares and Maronii, they're not scared at all!

LFS - local fish store, actually picked them up at Big Als. Just heard they have a shipment of " mystery apisto" It has gotten my interest, I'll have to go there and check them out.
