Yes, male A. hongsloi can show some black on the pelvic. Most species of the regani-lineage (regani-, alacrina-, and macmasteri-groups) show this. The easiest method to sex A. hongsloi is to look at the caudal spot. Males show red pigment on the spot; females do not show red.
