hi guys,
I buy A. sp masken few monthes ago. I know A. sp masken is a member of regani complex but when I see my fishes I really not sure if it is real A. sp masken (A52)
But i can't decide between two complexes (regani and sp winkelfleck)

can you tell what you this about those fishes please.

I have another pictures of fry and doubts are more important

This looks like A. sp. Masken to me. A. sp. Winkelfleck has a deeper/high-back body and comparatively lower dorsal fin. Masken often shows narrow, posteriorly diagonal vertical bars similar to the wider bars on Winkelfleck. I think this is what is confusing you. Wonderful fish you have!

Hi mike,.

my doubts relate to:
-the dorsal fin of the sp winkelfleck complex appears more bass to the head to the tail (like my fish)

then, in the complex regani, should see lines in the anal fin and caudal fin, but my picture shows points.

I put pictures of the young F1 if can help you

Your fish definitely belong to the regani-complex. Winkelfleck-complex species are deeper bodied and have (compared to the body depth) lower dorsal fins. They were sold under the correct name. There are several population of A. sp. Masken that show variation in caudal fin pattern and color on the face.
