I live in Easley/Greenville SC. USA
I want to get 6 of each. Price might make me adjust a few things. I hope I get lucky since I've been waiting a LONG time for this. I also want to get pairs of these fish. I am NOT a breeder or in any sort of fish business. This is my hobby and pleasure. I am looking for:
Trip Red cacs
Apisto. Agassizzii.....reds or a colorful form
Apisto what ever...again nothing hard to keep, but something colorful to look at. There are so many out
that it's easier to get what is available on this.
Gold Rams
Electric blue Rams....and
either Pelv. taeniatus nyete OR dicrossus filamentosus (I think this is easier to keep/breed then the maculatus).

If anyone can fill this order contact me at [email protected].
thank you

I think your best chance is to periodically check the aquabid site. Also check with Aquaticclarity (spelled it right this time!) and David Soares and see what they have.

Personally, I'm not a fan of power box filters on small apisto tanks. They tend to be overkill where filtration is concerned. As for aquarium carbon (speaking as someone who has used the best doing 'pump-and-treat' on Superfund toxic chemical sites) your carbon is probably used within a day. I do, however, like Hagen AquaClear filters very much. Maybe they don't use the heaviest plastic, but the foam blocks can last virtually forever if proper maintained. The ability to decrease the flow rate is a big plus in my opinion. If it were me, I'd buy the smallest adjustable flow rate Hagen filter and just use a foam block. I would put the Aquatech away in case of emergencies.

I am still looking for all the fish listed above. I do not need to buy them all from one person.....
I have contacted many breeders, but with little luck. I also wanted to contact a breeder named Ken ?????. I got some excellent fish from him a few years ago, but I am unable to locate his info. Anyone out there know who I am refering to?
Again, any other help finding these fish ( at this point I am open to any alternate suggestion, not to difficult to keep, fish).

Thanks
george

If you mean Ken Davis from the Atlanta Aquar Assoc, you might be able to contact him through that club's website. His Fishfarm USA website appears to be not updated in years. There may also be some Apisto/Ram/Pelv breeders in the Charlotte Area Aquarists Soc, and Fintastics store on the SW side of Charlotte usually has some interesting dwarf cichlids, including locally bred fish when they can get them from CAAS breeders. And if you can make to the Carolina Aquarium Workshop in Raleigh on Feb 15-17, there's usually some in the auction on Sunday (Feb 17).

Thanks Gerald that is exactly who I am looking for. Unfortunatly, none of the contact numbers work. What a bummer.
I just hope this experience is not a bad sign regarding our hobby. I guess I'll just keep looking...and again thank you.
