Help with ID

I obtained this fish a few years ago from one of the exporters in Iquitos. He wouldn't say where it was caught. He only had a few specimens. Could it be cf.cruzi or cinilabra? Sorry if I posted the pictures incorrectly. Had a difficult time figuring this out.

My guess is it just a Apisto. sp. Nanay which is commonly collected and available in US. A. cf. cruzi (Picuruyacu) has a higher and more robust body shape but also some red coloration to go with the metallic blue which is definitely lacking in your specimen.

Well, it's not A. sp. Nanay/Melgar. This fish has yellow pectorals fins; yours don't. It could be A. cf. cinnilabra (KM71), but can't be sure base on the photos. They show few of the dark markings needed for a decent ID. Do you have photos of the female?

If the females are the same species, then this isn't A. cinnilabra. The shape of the caudal spot is different. It appears to be a eunotus-complex form, but different from the typical 'eunotus' sold in the hobby. Without seeing the dark vertical bars on the flanks (usually only visible when the fish is under stress) I can't be certain what it is.
