Thats what I have thought so too, but the previous male is always chasing her until I shifted them into a bigger tank.....then the male keep bending his body towards her.....she's always in dull color, never did i see her in yellow before....

Anyway, the male has died of bacteria infection and I'm waiting for a new pair to arrive.....

It seems that your male is interested in courting your female. Breitbinden females do not turn bright yellow, but are more dull yellow to dirty orange.

Oh okok, that explains why I could never see her in yellow like most of the other apistos.....thanks a million mike!!
