hello

i'm new to the forum and the dwarf community. i am looking to set up a 30 gallon tank but am unaware of what will fit. i have researched many different kinds of fish and have a good idea of what is required. all i need now are inhabitants. i would love to have as much variety and fish as possible, so please just shoot out some suggestions for my 30. any help would be awesome, thanks.

If you are just beginning and you want some Apistogramma species I would recommend, easiest to slightly more challenging the following: A. borelli, A. caucatuoides and A. aggassizi. You could have one trio of any two of these.

Other tank mates: Most Hyphessobrycon, Hemigrammus Tetras, and Black Phantoms. Pencilfish, Hatchetfish and Copella sp. are good company.

Catfishes: Corydoras sterbai is good because it does well at the low 80's and is among the prettiest of the Corys.

For algae eaters, 6 Otocinclus, one Ancistrus species 3(Common Bushynose Pleco) would be alright as long as it is not too large and can be a big help in controlling some of the algae from the glass and plants.

If you want something unusual but a little harder to keep the Farlowella and Rhinoloricaria suckermouth cats are an interesting additions.
