Hello!
Name's Brad, as might be suspected. It seems that after 10+ years away from the hobby, I've been bitten by the bug again. Long story short, I've kept fish off and on for almost as long as I can remember, mostly livebearers as a kid and then in college I had a 55 gallon community tank featuring M. ramirezi, which brings me to my current interests.
This year's tax refund came rolling in and my girlfriend, much to my surprise and delight(!), decided to get an aquarium. So, as these things go, we now have a 20g community tank, a 3g betta tank (the betta is actually slated to get upgraded to a 10g shortly), and I'm planning a new Ram setup for breeding.
I also enjoy keeping loaches, plecos, and other catfishes, but as we live in a rented townhome, we're trying to keep things on a relatively small scale, which works great for me since I'd like to focus on dwarf cichlids anyway.
Looking forward to learning more and getting to know the forum better.
