Hi Apisto fans, thanks for letting me join this community!
I have been lurking on and off in the last few months but decided now is the time to join...and ask a question
I am fairly new to keeping fish but there are already 2 tanks in the house. A Superfish Wave 30 and a 110L tank. The nano tank holds alot of Fire shrimp and some Corydoras Habrosus and some Endler guppies. This little tank is running very stable and besides the usual cleaning it does not need alot of attention.
The 110L used to hold a group of SA blackwater biotope fish. A harem of A. Borelli (1m.2f), 5 Parva Loricaria, about 10 Red Phantom Tetras and about 10 Copella Nattereri. The tank was stable for a few months but all of a sudden i started losing fish. Still unclear why since all the values kept stable and nothing changed in the tank. Some fish probably died from the aggression from the Borelli male since there was some fry in the tank. From the original fish i only have 3 parva, 7 Tetra and 2 Copella left. I left the tank alone for at least a month, doing alot of water refreshing and since then i havent lost any fish. This week i introduced some new fish.
This is where the introduction ends and the question starts...buts that another topic
