Greetings from CA, first Apisto

Hi,
I have a well established 10g with plants and leftover Cherry Shrimp. I picked out an A. agassizii Double Red male as my first Apisto. I did not buy a pair as I was told a 10g might be too small if they quarreled.

Apologies for the dirty glass. Still cleaning this tank up. I pulled out handfuls of Dwarf Sag last week.

I offered micro Pellets and Omega One Color Flakes this morning. Will try frozen foods tonight

Now about me...

I have been keeping tanks off and on for 40 years. I've managed Pet Stores.
The last 8 years I got into keeping Planted Tanks. I'm in a club. Mine are NOT showpieces. But the fish like them.

Other currant hobbies are Carnivorous Plants this is one of my Sundews. I also keep American Pitcher Plants and Bladderworts.

I also compete with my Whippets

And I'm a Sommelier, so wine is also an interest.

I'll repost about my Apisto so I can ask questions about him.

But, I'm thrilled to have him and if things work out, I will pair him up.

No worries. Very used to it.

My kennel name is Coursair Whippets. That's where is comes from.

My first Whippet back in the late 80's

I've also had Reptiles, Tarantulas and Amphibians.

I held a Falconry License for years.
