Got my Borelli

My LFS was able to order me some Apisto Borelli. I figured they may not be the highest quality fish in the world, but I have been surprised before.

I bought four at about 1" for $7 each, hoping for a trio so we will see. I snapped a pic of two of them before they hide in the plastic jungle.

Tank is only 26g and other tankmates are 20 Neons.

Look like they may be the red faced ones?

Does the black first dorsal ray mean anything for sexing?

Firstly and sadly those are not Borelli. Sorry for the bad news.

Our shops sell them here as Borellii as well but they are a hybrid called Apisto sp.Steel Blue.

Still a nice little fish. Females are similar but go yellow when spawning.

I don't think this will matter as I think they are plastic.
