Hi,
I wasn't sure where to put this question, my male ram has been sick for a long time now - I wrote Ram Issues in the disease forum. Anyway, he is on Maracyn II now and yesterday began eating again. However, he only seems to be eating bloodworms. I gave him a couple of live ones yesterday hoping the wiggling would spurn him to eat. They did, and tonight he ate a little bit of frozen ones.
I think I understand that bloodworms are the fatty/fast food of the fish world? Do I also understand that feeding live blood worms presents another whole set of potential problems for fish health? His normal diet includes the New Life cichlid pellets, but he won't touch them now.
Is there another food you would recommend during this treatment time? Or when/if he recovers to build up health and strength?
Thanks ahead of time,
Cathy G
