Fry breeding

I've read about they have been known to start at a early age but this is a first for me, I have some Hongsloi fry five mo. old in a grow out tank with a adult female [temporary] that has gone a holed up in a coconut and filled the entrance with sand and the male she chose is about five times smaller than she is, he has colored up nice [lot of red on his belly] he stands guard over the hut chasing all other fry away. It's time to set up another tank [can hear the wife now], I'm thinking she will probably kill the other fry.

Three month? No. Sexual maturity depends on how they are fed and maintained.

They get WC twice a week and live food three time a week. i'm starting to think I may have messed up on records, it seems I think they were born about the same time the Cacs. andMacs. were born and that would have been in march, 5 mo. The male is about 1.25" and the female is the sister to the mother of these fry. The angle makes it look like they are about the same size but there not.

Moma brought her fry out this morning, looks to be about 30 or so, I quess the little guy got more done than I gave him credit for.
