Do Apistogramma need to be fed daily?

In an overcleaned community/scape, yes.
In a freshly setup tank, yes.
In a breeding tank being conditioned, yes.
Juveniles in growth, yes.
In a seasoned biotope tank with sand, leaf litter and lots of mulm, no.
In any seasoned, well planted tank with a good substrate and microfauna, no.

And for how often a day:
Once is enough. A small amount of granulate, less than a half teaspoon of frozen food. Live food can be added in bigger amounts, the fish have to work for that anyway.

Also note that fish are cold-blooded and their metabolism is regulated by the outside temperature for the most part. They require much less nutrition than a warm-blooded animal. About 90% of your food intake is used to keep your body at a uniform temperature.

A hungry fish is a healthy fish. When I'm gone for less than a week I don't even worry about it.
Too many horror stories of someone taking care of a tank while the person is on vacation.
