Fishes from different continents

I setup small tank in which initially I got betta female. Recently I add pair of young Cacatuoides. It was quite interesting experience. Betta quickly learned Apisto body language, opening gills, tail shaking, to scare off opponent. Hierarchy has been established Cacatuoides male, betta, Cac. female. I guess these fishes can co-exists since betta is using mostly upper parts of tank while apistos stay mostly on the bottom 8O

That is interesting about the mimiced behavior. I have kept apistos with bettas before and don't recall there being much interest in each other.
