Examples of sight lines?

I've been thinking of creating a community tank(60x32x40cm)(20G) with a pair of apistos and some hatchet fish and pygmy cories, and it's come to my attention I need to break sightlines with plants and rocks, and I was wondering if anyone could provide examples or videos!(Or link some beginner's guides, preferred tankmates, plants etc.) Eager to have apistos as the centerpiece fish!

I haven't purchased anything yet, so things can be changed

Those are some of my favourite fish, but
I think you really need a bigger tank for Hatchet fish. I kept Marbled Hatchet (Carnegiella strigata) with Apistogramma agassizii, "successfully" in a tank that size, but it wasn't ideal. Pygmy Corydoras (Gastrodermus pygmaeus) are good tank mates, but I think they limit fry survival.

@Mike Wise will have an opinion on whether a pair is a good idea.

But basically no part of the lower tank where the fish can see more than ~10 cm (4") unimpeded.

Line of sight depends a bit on species. Pair forming fishes are less demanding when it comes to line of sight and i've always been a fan of a. nijjensi or the extremely peaceful a. ladisalo (which is one of the most docile dwarf cichild i've seen).

However it is unpredictable how they will react with pygmy. I had an amusing experiment with kribs and pygmy (probably p. pulcher) where initially the kribs bit a few tails off of the pygmy but after 6 months or so they learn the pygmy were harmless. When this happened the pgmy moved their 'camp' to right in front of kribs cave and when the kribs would take their frys around to feed the pygmy moved with them efffecitvly using them as body guards (the kribs did not object to the pygmy mingling with their frys at this point); now i've never attempt to repeat the experiment and it would be interesting to learn if it is reproduceable but having said that in general it is very difficult to predict what would happen if you mix pygmy with breeding dwarf cichild - pygmy are a bit unique compared to other cory but they seem to be more timid and learn boundaries (something most cory will never learn) but they do spend a lot of time on the lower water where the dwarf cichild want territories.

Btw I find a. agasizzi to be anything but docile.

Is this a community tank or a tank for breeding apistos? It rare that it works out together.
