Try this article,

http://www.cichlidae.com/article.php?id=47

Basically, they are quite easy to keep, but try to get several females to each male. If you are having trouble finding information, try to get some books. First of all Baensch 1, 2 and 3 if you haven't already. Then a few specialist books on Cichlids.
If you can get them, go for Pseudocrenilabrus nicholsi or multicolor as these are more attractive than the more common Ps. philander.
Trimar down in Cornwall have all three species and courier for a tenner!
Good luck and keep us posted.

thanks for the info.

well i got 1 male and 1 female Pseudocrenilabrus multicolor yesterday, and already they have settled in perfectly, actually the male started meticulously cleaning an area of the tank, and attracting the female to it :).

Right now I think the female is carrying eggs, as she is not eating, but looks perfectly healthy and has a larger throat.

But anyway, I might get one or two more females for my tank in a week or so, depending on how the male and female get on.

I suggest that you either get 2 or 3 more females right now or separate the pair as soon as possible. Otherwise the male will start attacking the female. You will either lose the eggs the female is carrying, or worse the female & the eggs! Male are very intolerant of females that are not ready to spawn.

thanks for the heads up, definatly going to get 2 more females, he is looking bored already lol, but luckily he has got over 200 cory eggs laid this morning to keep him busy ^^.

How long will it be before I get free swimming fry? Right now I think they're still in the eggs form, but I'm not sure
