Do I have a pair?

Hello. Im brand new to apistogramma.
I researched and decided to add a pair of apistogramma to my established 55 gallon community.
I have 1 Bolivian Ram (unsure of sex, but I believe it’s a male)
A dozen platys (mostly female)
A dozen black neon tetras
A dozen rummy nose tetras

My LFS ordered 3 cacatouides for me and she kept the smallest one which looked a little beat up from travel or the other two for herself.
I put them in the tank about an hour ago and they stay together and have begun coloring up and exploring.
Im actually hoping they produce babies for me.
Can anyone tell me:

How old do you think they are?
What kind they are?
Do you think they are a pair of male/female?
Do you think the setup is good and they will be ok with the Bolivian if they have fry or claim some territory?

How old do you think they are? This is hard to say without knowing how large they are, but probably > 6 months old

What kind they are? Probably A. cacatuoides, but I can't be certain. The photo are not good enough for me to ID.

I think the Ram is not the problem in a tank of your size. People on this forum know my mantra: a community tank is not a breeding tank. Additionally, Rummynose Tetras are notorious fry predators. You probably will lose most fry to them. One female against 12 tetras are not good odds.

I’ll try to get some better pictures of them and continue to observe them. They survived the first night. So that’s always a good sign.
Im hopeful that there’s no issues with the ram.
I would be ok if we lost some fry to the tetras. I’m not looking to breed. It would be just cool to observe the mating and brooding process up close. Half of my dozen platies were born in the tab and survived with the heavy planting. So I think anything is possible.
