Here is a pic of the male. He takes no part in the fry rearing process in fact the female keeps him away from the frys.

Congratz, and they're gorgeous! Looks similar to the Santarem variety (near the Amazon/Tapajos R confluence) that I once had. Can you fill us in on pH, hardness, temp, diet ... anything else you think has been important in keeping them ?

Another pic of the male. He went on a rampage after they spawned and killed like 20 adults RCS.

I counted 110+ frys.

Tank parameters: 200microS, pH 6, temp 78F
Diet consists of grindal worm, BBS, blackworm, any RCS they can catch in the tank
