Greetings. AquaRadio.net is proud to announce that Mr. Dean Hougen, president of the Oklahoma Aquarium Association will be this week's guest speaker on "Sounds Fishy to Me."

Dean has been active in the aquarium hobby for 25 years and has been a longtime member of aquarium societies including the Oklahoma Aquarium Association, the Minnesota Aquarium Society, and the American Cichlid Association. For many years he has been fascinated by the cichlids of South America. Dean founded the South American Cichlid Study Group in 1993, and was the first editor of its journal "ACARA." He has written numerous articles for this and other hobby publications. Dean's articles have been reprinted by clubs from Canada to Australia, and translated into languages including French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Korean, and Turkish.

He has spoken at club events across the United States from Minnesota to Texas, and California to Connecticut.

He is currently running for the Board of Directors of the American Cichlid Association because he wants to give back to a great organization that has given him a great deal over the last two decades.

Dean’s talk will be on: Cichlid Reproduction with a focus on South American Species.

Remember - “Monday is Aquabid Music Night" will start at 7:15 PM, eastern and runs until 10:15 PM or later.

The show consist of the greatest hits of American music from the past 50 years, some talk, trivia contests - where we award fish, plants and food, novelty guest appearances from "The Answer Man of Life," who will answer your questions on the air - whether fish related, or not - and the occasional call-in guest. The show is an eclectic and irreverent mix of what radio used to be, before it went "corporate." Please join us for a fun-filled evening.

The donation auctions which were run during the last “Monday Night is AB Music Night" on Aquabid.com were extremely successful. We gratefully acknowledge the winning bidders and everyone who bid on the auctions.
