Hi folks,

Fortunate to get a detour past Pier Aquatics yesterday (Wigan, UK), they had a tank with some Apistogramma iniridae (now residing in the fish house :) ), anyway following discussions with Neil, turns out it was a mixed bag from Colombia. What caught my eye in the tank in the first place was a male exhibiting a lyretail.

Long and the short of it was I took the 8 fish left, which was 6 iniridae and a pair (feeling very lucky on this!!) of what I am now thinking are Apistogramma sp Breitbinden. Anyway care to confirm (or deny!!) this:

Apologies for the quality of the images, they need time to settle in (and me to be in less of a hurry).

Few more of the male (at least with diagnostic bars and stripes this time).

I put fresh peat into the water storage drum last week, so now have very tannin rich water, fish love it but photography in the breeding tanks is awful.

Yes, they are obviously Apistogramma sp Breitbinden, the similar type as the ones we guys find from the mixed apistos in Hong Kong :)

Hi folks,

Thanks Mike, the male does have a bi-coloured tail (yellow on bottom), So A. sp Breitbinden it is then :)

Thanks to everyone else for their comments, you hear tales of people visiting the LFS and coming away with something special. Very nice that it was my turn
