hey ppl!
I was wonderin about the common age (max) of brichadies. what I have now is male 2/3 wild and female is 1/2 wild. Last weekend I got some frys ( 2 fryes) and saw them spawn last nite with in a week.

I've read that they can have abut 2 fry till 100.

the main reason of my quiz is the age and how many can thay have durin there live??

What is a 2/3 wild fish?

I have had brichardi pairs for as long as five years. They seem to slow down after a couple years though. I kept my pair in a 30 gallon tank. If I let the fry stay in the tank with parents, they would still spawn. After three spawns, however, they would stop until I removed most of the larger fry.

My pair took thre spawns before they were good at it. After than there were 100's of fry in the tank all the time.

2/3 wild male aka tank breed come from a mix of wild and tank fish.

I know 4 sure that the female is half wild and half tank breed.

Hi Naggur.

Are we referring to Neolamprologus brichardi?

I'm not really sure what it is you are trying to get at with this 2/3 wild, and 1/2 wild. Either a fish is wildcaught, or it isn't. If one of it's parents were wild, technically we "might call" that fish F1, as in one generation from the wild. So, it sounds like maybe you have "F1" fish than?

As far as how many babies can Neolamprologus brichardi have in their lifetime? Assume 5 years of breeding, once a month, 100 babies at a time, that's about 6000 babies.
