Lookin' good there,Ted. I haven't seen C. Bleheri rainbows for a while but they are one of my favorites. All in all, I really like rainbows as dither/target fish.
Very nice fish, interesting brood care according to Lamboj. Does your experience match with his, ie the female holds for the first few days then the male takes over?
I notice several "spare" individuals in the tank. Do they act as targets and prevent aggression between the breeding pair? My male C. guntheri has not managed to hold full term as yet, the pair fall out after spawning. Should I add some conspecifics to the tank?
THis is a new brood. THe pair is spawning again. I think that they are seasonal.
There are two females in the tank, and the male has a primary female that he has spawned with four times. He has spawned with the smaller female once, but it was unsuccessful.
I have noticed that the male and female will both brood the spawn for a few days, and then the male takes over.
