Aquarium books generally did not sell very well in the past and even less anymore - particularly specialty books - unless they are filled with photos (making them even more expensive). The internet has given too many people the idea that information should be free. Quality information takes time to gather which makes it expensive to publish.

I have been asked repeatedly to make a book. I know what Ingo Koslowski got paid for his books - and it really is not worth the time, effort and headaches.

Lovely photos and tremendous work raising six fry to this point with "0" prior experience! I didn't do half as well even with far easier live-bearer fry when I first started keeping fish. Kudos!

Am curious: Did you ever put a light over the grow out tank? Or is it ambient and nearby LED illumination only?

Me? No, not over a grow-out tank. I have done small night lights on breeding tanks with apistos that tended to be more shy. These apistos seemed to startle more when lights suddenly turn on/off, which sometimes led to them eating their eggs. My basement fish room has a small north-facing window. I have the lights set to turn on about a half-hour after sunrise, but this does not do anything about the lights turning off suddenly at night. This is a reason for a night light for apistos that are more shy.
