cacatuiodes and agassizii ?

i recently bought two male cacatuoides or what i thought were two cacatuoides (i feel that one of the males is agassizii)
and as i am unsure how to post a picture unfortunatly i cannot let you see the fish although i am sure its agassizii (pictures in fish book)
what's worrying me is that will the male agassizii mate with the female cacatuoides? and i end up with hybrids

Should i return him to the shop and get an other male cacatuoides or buy a female agassizii ?

tank is 28gal duo deep 800

other fish include
2x algae eaters
4 neon tetras

advice appreciated

You should have room in there for 2 pairs of Apisto's so I would suggest getting another Aggie female if you are sure that the male is what it is.
If not it wouldn;t matter. The cockatoos won't breed with the aggies but if theres one thing better than one pair of Apisto's, it's TWO!

thanks for the reply i'm not 100% certain but pretty dam sure , however i will wait for confimation as soon as i get a photo posted then get a female aggi as you say whats better than one pair of apistos
