First welcome to the apisto forum. Apistos are not really hard to reproduce in captivity. Every species (that has entered the hobby in sufficient numbers) has been reproduced in an aquarium. All you need is proper nutrition, proper water conditions and quality, and a proper sized aquarium that is properly aquascaped for breeding. For specifics for each species look on the web or better yet get a good book.
