breeding Apistogramma sp. rotpunkt

I have a pair of Apistogramma sp. rotpunkt

The male

The pair is in 40 l. tank, the water parametres: pH 7, KH 3, GH 6, NO2 0, NO3 < 5
This paremetres are OK??? becase I have a problem.......the pair don't breed :evil: what is the problem??

A. rotpunkt is relatively easy Apistogramma species to breed IMO. You have the right water for them. Give them frozen and live food and they should breed in no time. Make sure to have plenty of caves, the males can be quite aggressive I have found if the the females aren't ready to spawn.

The parms are not your problem. they are one of the easiest apistos to breed, so it is probably just a matter of time. Do regular water changes and be patient.
