I want to do a dwarf cichlids setup in a 29 gallon tank. I don't have RO unit though and my tap water is usually around 6.5 ph, and slightly hard. Would adding Blackwater Extract for example:

or should I use peat to try to soften the water.

Are there any SA cichlids that don't mind slightly hard water?
