Getting back into fish keeping as of recently. This looks like a great forum for my main interest, Dwarf cichlids, and especially Apisto's.

Looking forward to meeting everybody.

Initially Cacatuoides but really the species as a whole really fascinates me.

Yes, I have started with them as well. I had purchased some doubles, but then found some triples. I am hoping to have them breed, so we shall see how that goes. It does seem they aren't the easies to find. I am not sure if that is a good thing (if you have any to sell), or a bad thing in that few are interested.....Kerry

Yes that's the problem with El Paso there is not one privately owned Freshwater LFS in the whole city. There are a few Marine LFS's. So I am stuck with Petsmart. I buy almost everything online. There are a few stores where you can purchase online that come highly recommended, The Wetspot, Aquaclarity and Blue grass Aquatics. Have you had any experience with any of these stores?

Hi Curtis, thanks for the welcome. I'm in El Paso, yeah I know more like Mexico than Texas but hey at least I have my guns, Lol

Hi Robert I have Had Good results from Jeff aquaticclarity He has some Nice Fish I also got a lot of my apistos from Apistodave hes in Germany right now but should be back soon he mostly sells off aquabid which is a decent source for apistos Ted Judy Has some also have heard decent word about Wet spot but havent tryied them yet others I havent tryied are atlantis and Bat fish If you can get to austin go to aquatek they always have apistos

Hey Curtis, haven't been to Austin for a while now it's a good 8-10 hour drive from El Paso. Ted Judy? Is that the name of the site?
