Question.
Is the female atahualpa tiny in comparison to the male?

I had a breeding pair where this was the case but maybe she was young or a runt.
Thanks

thanks. i think i have 2 males and 3 females in a 75 gallon planted tank. i have a few clay pots and coconut halves spread throughout the tank. is this enough space for them? do you recommend pulling the pairs out and putting them into a breeding tank or will this work?

I always recommend using a breeding tank if one is interested in breeding the fish. If all you have in the 75 is 5 apistos then it should be large enough for all - providing that it is properly decorated.
