Artificial Rasing of Ram Fry

Hi Everyone
I have been moving my ram eggs to a 10 gal tank half full of water adding methyline blue. The PH in the 10 gal is 6.5 and the water is soft. I have done this before with success, but for some reason now my eggs are getting fungused and the fry die before they get out of the wiggler stage. Can eggs suffer from PH shock? the water in the main tank is about 7.4 so I am lowering the PH quite a but verry fast.
Thanks
Eric

Eggs can be shocked by changes in water values. I'd suggest that you start by placing the eggs in a small container of water from the parent's tank. Then if you feel that you need to use water of a different value, slowly mix the new water with the old over a several hour period using the drip method. A fungicide like Methylene Blue or Acriflavine & an airstone might be helpful, too.
