Picked up a female last Monday at a store that normally doesn't stock Apistogramma, this time they had 3 different types each of one female (with no knowlegdge of what they where). Unable to say no I picked the nicest looking one. After researching on and off since I think I have probably figured it out. I'm guessing A. Trifasciata

Due to body shape and fins I had already though it to be somewhere around the Cacatuoide or similar grouping (stomach line obviously discounted Cacatuoide and a few others). Then when I was at another store today they has a Trifasciata male and seeing its stomach line that appeared the same as on the female I had, I then guessed my female to be a Trifasciata as well (So I picked up the male).
Since adding him to the tank they have been displaying to each other occasionally. He has staked out a piece of territory right in the middle of the tank which the female is spending alot of time in
Not a great pic but displaying to each other
