A. uaupesi isn't available in the UK? They aren't available in stores here, but can be had from importers if you ask around. Not a hard fish to keep or spawn, A. pertensis gave me more trouble.
I've actually gotten A. uaupesi as a "contaminant" on multiple occasions. I believe the came mixed in with a macmasteri type fish or similar (I don't remember exactly what the other fish was.). I found the males to be fairly aggressive to one another and the eggs seemed to need soft water with a pH around 6 to hatch.
If you think this fish is stunning now, just wait until it matures. The dorsal fin will be sail-like and twice as high as on the photo. This is truly a quality fish. I hope someone willing to breed them buys them.
