Slightly out of the ordinary!!
The normally secretive, brooding female Apistogramma sp 'Masken' brought her larvae out of the cave today, they are still two to three days away from freeswimming so this behaviour is slightly unusual. Ive seen this before in my 7-8 years of keeping Apistos but not very often. I always feel privileged to witness the spawning behaviour of these secretive and facinating creatures.
Dad also came over for a look, to the dad, like me this is a sight thats pretty unusual in Apisto breeding
i think he enjoyed seeing his new borns
