Apistogramma pertensis?

Picked these guys up from a tankful of A. gibbiceps.

They look young. They could be A. pertensis or A. cf. pertensis. Wait until they grow a bit. A. pertensis males have higher dorsal sailfins & the body is not as compressed as in A. cf. pertensis.

Thanks, Mike. These guys are just about an inch long. A couple of them have colored up nicely, though.

I think it is A. cf. pertensis because it has a more laterally compressed body. Once the dorsal fin is fully developed it will be easier to tell.

I think these guys will grow much more than what they're at now. A couple of quick pics snapped while a male was flaring at an A. uaupesi.

The dorsal fin looks high for A. cf. pertensis. It looks like you have A. pertensis!
