apistogramma eunotus surprise

Hi all, been away and really busy last week, so today was doing water change and moving a bogwood from the apistogramma eunotus tank and was shocked to see apistogramma eunotus fry. Shocked because I only had a wild fully grown female and recently I put some juvenile I got. which I was sure were too young to breed. But hey the big mama's got a toy boy. I have quickly fed them some banana worms. Good job I spotted them wonder how they survived and how long they have been free swimming. What age are they ready to breed?

Very nice! I've had unsexable fish 1" total length spawn with babies before...of course, once there are eggs, you can tell who the female is.

I understand how shocked you would be. Once I found newborn cacatuoides fry from extremely young parents that were probably less than 1 inch long. If I didn't see that myself I wouldn't have believed it.
