apistogramma elizabethae question

hi,
can someone advise me re the male female ratio for this fish, what is best, one male to one female or a harem setu one male and three females?, thanks
tank is 4 ft bay i ft by 15"high

If this is to be the breeding tank only (no other fish except a few target/dither fish), then a male + 2 or 3 females should work.

thanks for the quick reply, yes, the only other fish in the tank are 3 or 4 cherry barbs and 3 or 4 bristle nose plecs,, all under half an inch in size, just fry that were not removed

Please remove the plecos. They have a habit of raiding breeding caves at night and eating eggs. If you need an algae eater use otocinclus.

thanks Mike, will do, they are tiny at the moment, about a month or so old i will pick them out as they reveal themselves
