Has anyone kept these cichlids?they are also called Umbrella cichlids. what size do they get? i heard 4 cm is this true? because thats a small fish and if they are that small that would be awesome

Romers Atlas has the female at 4cm and the male at 6cm.

Borellii have very interesting behavior and are very peaceful. For 9 months I kept 7 adults (3m & 4f) in a 30 gallon long. Three of the females spawned just 1 week after being placed in the tank. At one point there was 7 adults, about 20 juvies, and 60 small fry all living peacefully in this 30 gallon with no problems (also 4 pencilfish & 2 Otos).

Do a search on "borellii" and you'll find a ton of info. Search both spellings (borellii & borelli).

I have a 20 gallon with 2 gold rams, 2 keyholes, 3 neons and 2 guppies and 2 phantom tetras. would adding a piar be overstocking?one ram looks like its going to die soon, its been looking sickly.

id like to house more dwarfs, I have a 60 gallon i can transfer the phantoms to...would that work?

I suppose if you moved the keyholes, then the 20 would be OK for borellii
