I was at a LFS today and they had 5 Apisto Vieja Gold but wanted 22 bucks a piece. Do you know anyone else who may carry them. The males a pale gold body with red streaks in their fins females are all gold.

The "Gold" variety, to my knowledge, is a bit new for the viejita strains. Sort of a similar strain to the white cacatuoides. Lacks dark body pigments so the reds and yellows really stand out. I've got a pair right now that's really developed nicely, but I don't think they're very widely distributed, especially around here. $22 isn't really that outrageous for the MN area, though I know folks around here are cheap as heck.

I actually wonder where they came from, as I did BAP some several months ago...

Pic is several months old, but representative. His colors have actually reddened and fins grown out more. Nice looking aquarium strain.
