Wild and very large...the big male is about 6-7cm and the female is in the 4-5cm range.

What part of the fish do you need a better picture of? I've got a lot of images already and will take more if you want me to focus on certain features.

Try these Mike. I have more shots ready to go incluiding a few group shots in a specimen container for added stress colors, if these four don't provide the needed info. I can label the shots if that would help. Let me know.

After seeing these photos, I am fairly certain that this is the Rio Ampiyacu form of A. sp. Putumayo (A 86). There is a photo of a similar looking fish in the English edition (1994) of Linke & Staeck under the name A. sp. (Parallel-stripes Apistogramma). It was once thought to be A. cruzi, but it is not like the holotype.

I seldom check out the Linke and Staeck book for Apisto. I.D., but yes, my fish looks almost identical to the fish pictured in the book. Well, at least the photos look very very similar. The fish has so much more color to it in real life.

Thanks for all the work Mike. I really appreciate it! I bet you just can’t wait for the next round:biggrin:

How many of these would you like?

I can get you wild adults. There are a few left at the store...cheap. Or I have 80+ youngsters that started free swimming a few days ago.

Be careful what you ask for, you may just end up with fish at your door unannounced!
