Hi, i am new here.
As i especially like apisto with slimmer body shape.
I was especially attracted to Apisto Pulchra.

Last year there are a shipment of German Apisto reach one of our LFS &
i had seen at lest 6 variants of Ap. Pulchra.
As the prices are high & seem that it was not a very popular fish as other will chose Wilhemi instead.

Just to check:
Are these apisto - recent found species?
How many variants are there?
Any reference or pictures can be found in the web?

Pls help to advise
thks

Pulchra is not new to the market.
Hmm, Ap.sp.Wilhelmi (or Ap. sp. Abacaxis),
A. Pulchra, A. Chingarno, all belong to the Puchra complex.
These fish are all very very easy to breed. Moreover, a cross-breeding
among them, and even with aggie, is known to exist and many breeders
in Hong Kong and Taiwan have been successful in cross-breeding them.

For photos of them, there are many, please take a look:

Blue,

Very nice pair you have there, esp the male. :)

I hope mine would grow up to be equally impressive.
