Andrew is correct. This is one of the color morphs of A. sp. Pebas the tail patch identifies it perfectly. It might be the Morado form, but the picture of the male is too washed out to say for sure. There are half a dozen or more color morphs of this fish. It is closely related to species in the cruzi-assemblage (eunotus-complex) to which A. sp. Algodon 2 (=A. sp. Putumayo) is a member. A. sp. Parrot/Papagei (=A. sp. Algodon 1) is closely related to A. sp. Pebas. Both Pebas & Parrot belong to the Pebas-assemblage (eunotus-complex).

Hey there, I am now the proud owner of this pair. I managed to get a pic while he was showing off to another male, hopefully it can help get a definite species name to it.
