Apisto eggs

Is it normal for my Agassizii to lay 150 eggs I have read they only lay 80

I have a female Mac. that has around 100 or so, but she is big and has had a few batches. Most dont make it and I'm glad, I still wind up with 30 or more. Most dont have batches that large, most of the apisto's I have normally have around 50 or so.

I have raised broods of over 100 juveniles of A. agassizii from a single spawn. I do not know how many fry did not survive. So yes, it is possible.

They have all started falling off the top of the cave is that because the are hatching

Are they falling off by themselves or is the female chewing the larvae from the eggs and depositing them on the bottom of the cave?

They are falling off buy themselves

Not good. The female actually chews the larvae out of the shell and deposits them on the bottom of the cave.
